Winnie the Pooh Cake, Part 2

The Pooh Cake is finally done! It’s for the Ronald McDonald House 25th Anniversary. Check it out at the Market Mall in Calgary, on display until Sunday March 21st.

I took about a week and a half, maybe about 50 hours (working very slowly…I just was not on my ballgame!)

This was a great group effort, with help from from friends Kim and Janis.

Update: This cake received the Best Use of Theme award for the Ronald McDonald House 2010 25th Anniversary Cake Competition

3:08 – This was for display in a shopping mall over a week so unfortunately real cake could not be used in this cake. The internal structure in this case is a combination of foam and rice krispies. I wanted to try experimenting with the rice krispies. A sturdy wooden dowel also runs through the length of the cake. Thanks for looking!
