I had the opportunity to design the cake however I wanted… and with the former cold weather, I thought it would be funny to make an Ice Cream Cone Cake!
And because kids love ice cream cakes.
The “ice cream scoops” were covered in fondant, and I used a knife to rough up the texture to resemble ice cream. The waffle cone was marked and scored with a ruler, then airbrushed to give it some dimension.
Sprinkles were rolled out by hand, cut, then gently bent to get that realistic sprinkle effect.
